Alors qu’elle rentre tout juste des courses avec Emily, Anna est interpellée par celui qu’elle pense être son père, Henry. Il lui demande d’où vient la photo de son grand-père qu’il a trouvé dans sa chambre et lui avoue alors que les deux autres personnes figurant dessus sont en réalité ses parents biologiques et qu’il n’est que son oncle. Anna est bouleversée par cette révélation et ne sait pas vraiment comment réagir…
Dans ce deuxième tome des Secrets des Wilson, on en apprend un peu plus sur Henry et le passé des parents de Anna. Mill2 nous plonge dans l’histoire, plutôt glauque et tourmentée, de cette famille et a su écrire un scénario habile et accrocheur. Si on avait beaucoup aimé l’idée dans le tome précédent de nous faire découvrir l’histoire grâce aux énigmes du grand-père, on regrette que ce ne soit plus le cas désormais et que l’histoire n’avance que grâce à des flashbacks ou des explications de la part des personnages. L’une des histoires les plus intéressantes est celle d’Ethan et Catherine, on comprend un peu mieux leur relation. Mais c’est surtout l’arrivée d’un nouveau personnage glauque et malveillant qui relance encore un peu plus la tension déjà pourtant bien présente. Cependant la résolution de cette partie de l’histoire est tout de même un peu rapide et c’est bien dommage.
Une suite passionnante avec de plus en plus de secrets à découvrir.
