Kindergarten Black, la maternelle la plus sûre du monde, accueille les enfants des plus éminentes personnalités du pays. Mais sa vraie particularité, ce sont ses instituteurs : tous des repris de justice, chargés de protéger les enfants en échange d’une remise de peine. La dernière arrivée, Rita, n’a accepté que pour enfin pouvoir sortir de prison et trouver un petit ami. Alors quand des criminels attaquent la maternelle et sont des beaux gosses, elle ne peut pas s’empêcher de tomber sous leur charme et d’espérer trouver parmi eux l’élu de son cœur !
Déjanté et fun ! Ce sont les deux mots qui viennent aussitôt à l’esprit lorsque l’on referme ces deux premiers tomes de Kindergarten Wars. L’idée de prendre des criminels pour surveiller les enfants des gens les plus importants du pays est très intéressante mais ce qui fait le vrai plus du scénario de You Chiba est la personnalité de ces criminels, avec en premier lieu Rita, l’héroïne. Dès les premiers chapitres, on s’aperçoit qu’elle n’aspire qu’à une chose, trouver un petit ami, y compris parmi les assassins qui viennent s’en prendre aux enfants. Mais elle a des critères bien à elle et c’est justement ce qui est particulièrement drôle ! Une mauvaise réponse à ses questions loufoques et c’est la mort assurée. Son collègue, Doug, n’est pas en reste non plus, lui qui d’un coup tombe follement amoureux de Rita en une demi-seconde juste parce qu’elle lui sauve la vie. La mangaka enchaîne les chapitres et nous entraîne avec elle dans ce mélange savamment dosé d’humour, d’action et de violence. On a dévoré ces deux premiers tomes et on espère que la suite sera aussi réussie mais surtout qu’elle saura se renouveler pour ne pas nous lasser.
Un début de série très accrocheur !
